LOOSE ENDS (Retrospective)

I first wrote “Loose Ends” back in December of 2011. I then reposted it on Medium in March of 2019. Here we are again nearly 11 years since its creation needing to post it again mostly to remind me of how much those nagging loose ends can get in the way of our journey. It seemed only fitting to make it the first post on my redesigned website as I continue my writing and curation journey dedicated to enjoying the journey as we pursue our goals. If we let the big projects consume our time and overwhelm us, all the small to-do’s continue to grow and play havoc on our minds.

Getting the first post on here has certainly been a nagging loose end for me. A big shout-out to Diana Simpson for building the site. She cleared out many of the “barbs” in my way of getting this launched. Click her name and connect with her if you need web design services. I am extremely grateful for her expertise and help.

So here it is again nearly 11 years later and something I will always need to remember. Clear those loose ends so you can continue your joyful journey.

LOOSE ENDS

Just like the barbs on rose bushes growing along our path of life.

Loose Ends nick and nip us attempting to break our resolve and purpose.

We can see the artistry of the blooms just past the bramble if only we could seize them.

Loose Ends pierce and slash us attempting to convince us that the path is impassable.

We afflict ourselves with wounds and malady from the mere stings and twinges caused by the thistle.

We need only prune back the nettle through steadfast action and clear perspective to open the path of our journey siezing the fragrant blossoms that are ours for the taking.

What loose ends do you need to prune back today?  They need not be cleared but do need controlled to open your path.
